Catherine Zeta-Jones' daughter Carys shines in her 20-year-old LBD

A Timeless Style Legacy

A good Little Black Dress really never goes out of style! This is especially true for Carys, the daughter of Catherine Zeta-Jones, who recently borrowed her mother's iconic LBD for a glamorous night out. The choice was not only a nod to fashion history but also a reflection of Carys' own appreciation for vintage and sustainable fashion.

Carys joined her father, Michael Douglas, at the PAC NYC Icons Of Culture Gala held at the Perelman Performing Arts Center. At 22 years old, she looked every bit the rising star in the world of fashion. Her outfit consisted of a fitted black dress that ended just above the ankle. The dress featured sparkling details on the bodice, delicate lacy straps, and a subtle ruffling on the hem.

Carys, who recently graduated with a degree in International and Public Affairs from Brown University, paired the dress with black heels and red gem earrings. Her choice of accessories added a touch of elegance and sophistication to the overall look.

The dress had previously been worn by Catherine Zeta-Jones in 2005, two years after Carys was born. She wore it to the 20th Annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. At the time, Catherine styled the dress with open-toe heels that had lacy detailing around the ankle. This complemented the dress's straps and created a cohesive and elegant look.

Photos from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction show Catherine looking fabulous in the LBD. She posed for pictures with Ireland's own Bono, whose band U2 was inducted on that memorable night.

When asked about borrowing her mother's clothes, Carys shared her thoughts with People. She said, "I love vintage clothes. I don't really like to buy, I'm not really into fast fashion stuff, just for sustainability reasons. So I feel very lucky that I have a wonderful closet that I can pick from, but I should probably tell her more, because I snag a little too much. She's like, 'Is that my bag?' I'm like, 'I don't know. I don't think so.'"

Carys also talked about her post-graduation plans. She expressed a desire to follow in her parents' footsteps and get into the performing arts. She said, "I grew up doing theatre, and I didn't study acting in school, but that's why I'm happy to be in such an informative arts space, so hopefully more of that."
