Andrew Tate's Boxing Debut and CEO Takeover at Misfits

Andrew Tate's New Venture in Boxing

Andrew Tate, a British-American influencer, is preparing to make his boxing debut as part of the Misfits promotion. He has claimed that he is replacing YouTube star KSI as the CEO of the fight promotion. This move marks a significant shift in Tate’s career, which has primarily been centered around social media and controversial public statements.

Tate, who is 38 years old, is set to face Chase DeMoor, a 29-year-old TV personality, in Dubai on 20 December. The match will be a heavyweight contest, marking Tate’s first appearance in the sport of boxing. Before this, Tate was known for his achievements in kickboxing and mixed martial arts, with a record of 76 wins (32 knockouts), 9 losses, and 1 draw.

However, Tate is perhaps best known for his role as an influencer. He has openly described himself as a "misogynist" and often showcases his luxurious lifestyle on social media. His public persona has led to numerous allegations, including claims of rape and human trafficking. Both Andrew and his 37-year-old brother Tristan have faced similar accusations, which they both deny.

In May, the UK Crown Prosecution Service brought 21 charges against the Tate brothers. According to the service, Andrew faces 10 charges related to three alleged victims, including rape, actual bodily harm, human trafficking, and controlling prostitution for gain. Tristan, on the other hand, faces 11 charges concerning one alleged victim, involving similar offenses.

The Crown Prosecution Service stated that it had authorized the charges against the Tate brothers in 2024, prior to a warrant for their extradition from Romania, where they currently reside. They are also under investigation in the United States.

A Return to the Ring

Andrew Tate last fought in December 2020, winning a kickboxing match against Cosmin Lingurar via second-round technical knockout. This victory in Bucharest followed two previous stoppage wins in the Romanian capital earlier in the year: a February win over Iulian Strugariu and a November victory against Miralem Ahmeti.

Now, Tate is stepping into the world of boxing, as part of the Misfits promotion, which he claims was previously headed by KSI. In an announcement video, Tate said, “Welcome to your new CEO, it wasn’t a hostile takeover but it was certainly planned,” adding, “and Mams [Taylor] and I are going to be working together to finally put Misfits where it belongs on the world stage.”

He further elaborated, “The largest disruptive force in sports entertainment history, so considering that somebody that failed at their obligations to make this organisation as big as it should’ve been has been ousted and I’m the new CEO,” Tate claimed.

Tate also mentioned that he took KSI’s company from him after being annoyed by a tweet from the YouTuber three years ago. “And considering that I’m the largest name on the planet, if I’m gonna fight on an organisation, why not fight on an organisation that I own a percentage of? It makes a lot of business sense,” he added in an interview with Fred Talks Fighting.

The Legacy of Misfits

KSI, whose real name is Olajide Olatunji, founded Misfits in 2021 and fought five times under the promotion. The organization has gained a reputation for hosting high-profile events and featuring athletes from various combat sports.

As Tate takes on the role of CEO, the future of Misfits remains uncertain. With his background in social media and controversy, his leadership could bring both attention and challenges to the promotion.
