Amanda Holden Embraces Glinda, Ashley Roberts Goes Green for Halloween

Amanda Holden and Ashley Roberts Embrace Wicked Themes at Heart Radio's Halloween Celebration

Amanda Holden and Ashley Roberts made a striking appearance at Heart Radio’s Halloween event, channeling the magic of Wicked with their costumes. The Britain’s Got Talent judge, 54, transformed into Glinda the Good Witch, while Ashley Roberts, 44, took on the role of Elphaba. Their co-host, Jamie Theakston, also joined in the fun by dressing as Lord Fiyero, creating a trio that fully embraced the Wicked theme.

Amanda’s look was nothing short of dramatic. She wore a light pink ball gown with a tulle skirt, paired with a silver crown and a wand to complete her Glinda ensemble. Her outfit exuded elegance and whimsy, perfectly capturing the essence of the character. Ashley, on the other hand, painted herself green and donned a long-sleeved lace top, a plunging dress, and a pointed hat, bringing Elphaba to life with a touch of mystery and strength.

Jamie Theakston added to the magical atmosphere with a bright blue three-piece suit, layered with a shirt to embody the character of Elphaba’s love interest, Lord Fiyero. His outfit was both stylish and fitting for the Wicked theme, making the trio stand out during the event.

The Wicked film series is set to continue with its latest installment, Wicked: For Good, which will be released in cinemas on November 21. As excitement for the movie grows, the Halloween celebration at Heart Radio served as a perfect prelude to the film’s release.

The film stars Ariana Grande as Glinda and Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba. The next instalment will explore the aftermath of the first film, showing Elphaba living in exile while continuing her fight for freedom. Meanwhile, the silenced animals of Oz are determined to reveal the truth about The Wizard, played by Jeff Goldblum. Glinda, now a symbol of goodness in Oz, resides in a breathtaking palace in the Emerald City and is preparing to marry Jonathan Bailey’s character, Prince Fiyero.

The Halloween event came after Amanda Holden teased a new music project with renowned producer David Foster. The TV personality and actress shared photos from her family holiday in Beverly Hills on Instagram, where she appeared to be working on the project. The images showed her posing happily alongside David, 75, who is known for his work with iconic artists such as Quincy Jones, Michael Bublé, Whitney Houston, and Chuck Berry.

In 2019, Amanda signed a recording contract with Virgin EMI Records, and in 2020, she released her debut album, Songs from My Heart, through Universal Music. The album reached number four on the UK Albums Chart. During a performance of her single “Not While I'm Around” on Britain’s Got Talent, she admitted, “I was absolutely bricking it... I've worked with the backstage crew, sound guys and producers for 15 years and I didn't want to balls it up in front of them. The most nerve-wracking thing I've done.”

While Amanda has not revealed details about her current projects, her recent studio sessions suggest she is actively pursuing new creative ventures. Her collaboration with David Foster could mark an exciting new chapter in her career.
