Hugh Jackman recently made an appearance at a private event in Los Angeles, marking his first public outing since revealing his new relationship with Sutton Foster. The Australian actor was seen alongside two notable actresses, Kate Hudson and Blanca Blanco, at a special screening of the film Song Sung Blue. This movie is based on the true story of Mike and Claire Sardina, a couple who created the Neil Diamond tribute act known as Lightning and Thunder.
Jackman appeared relaxed for the event, wearing a white polo shirt paired with blue denim jeans. Meanwhile, Hudson made a stylish entrance in a black dress that tied in the front, with her blonde hair partially pulled back. Blanco stood out in a striking leopard print dress, complemented by heels and bold red lipstick.
Blanco shared her positive experience with Jackman, stating, "Hugh was in a great mood and so friendly. He is very passionate about this film, which is extremely charming." Her comments highlight the warm atmosphere surrounding the film's production.
This event followed Hudson's recent remarks about Jackman, where she described it as "hard not to fall in love" with him. The 46-year-old actress, who worked with Jackman on Song Sung Blue, spoke about the magic of collaborating with the star of The Greatest Showman.
At the movie's AFI Fest premiere on Sunday, Hudson told The Hollywood Reporter, "It's hard not to feel magic with Hugh; he's a magical, sparkly man. He's got this very youthful spirit, and his generosity of spirit is wide and large. So I feel like it's hard not to fall in love with him; he's really wonderful."
Hudson and Jackman share several scenes together in the film, where they perform songs as a married couple. Hudson explained how practicing their vocals helped enhance their on-screen chemistry. Reflecting on their first time singing together, she said, "We got in there and I think it was like finding the vibe because it's one thing to record for a recording, it's another thing to record for live, which is what we were doing; it was kind of fun to find the imperfections and what we were going to be doing on the day."
She added, "It was a great way to get to know each other for us too because we're in the studio for hours - before we got to go on set and play this very intimate married couple, we got to spend good time together."

The writer-director of Song Sung Blue, Craig Brewer, praised both Hudson and Jackman, recalling the magic of their first day in the studio. The 53-year-old filmmaker shared, "That was magical, it really was. Getting them into the studio for the first time, watching them sing harmony for each other, it was just beautiful."
Brewer continued, "The whole crew just said the same thing - they were like, 'This is what we wanted, we just didn't know we wanted it.' And it was just infectious; everybody on the set every day would just gather around the screens and just see the chemistry between the two of them."

As the film continues to generate buzz, fans are wondering if Jackman and Foster will make a public debut at the movie's premiere. Rumors have also circulated about whether the pair found love on Broadway after their glowing reviews of each other. Questions remain about how their connection evolved from Broadway co-stars to a romantic relationship, and whether Jackman has truly found love again amidst the theater world's secrets.
Fans are eager to learn more about the details of Jackman's rumored romance with Foster and what the future holds for the couple.
